Financial benefit of implementing 5S

I always thought the fact that 5S would save money/increase throughput was pretty obvious. However, I have a friend who is trying to "sell" 5S to his boss, and he can't find any published data that shows a financial benefit to 5S.

Does anybody have or know where to find such data?
