Thank you for all who shared in the 1st challenge of business strategy. Of course the 1st week challenge had no right answer, but the survey showed the most important 5 factors that differentiate the best from the rest...

1- Strength of leadership

2- Ability to attract and retain quality people

3- Disciplined approach to business

4- Strategic use of technology

5- Effective use of trusted relationship
 

The most important factor is Strength of leadership. Leadership defines a clear direction for the company and delivers this direction to all employees. Leadership provides personal involvement and supports projects that is strategic to the company . Leaders decide what is important to the company, and what is not .

Sidebar: before I go in this challenge, I know that some of you think that you're not an owner or a business leader. This is not true, no matter your position within a company, you effect the your business. Consider your team or your department as your company. In other words, run a small pilot project for the area where you have change control and authority.

1-Review and Renew your company mission statement and vision.

2-Review and Renew your company strategic position.

3-Determine your company VFOs ( Vital Few Objectives )

3-Decide what to stop
